If you are after the perfect fitting, custom-made item of clothing, then this service is for you. I mainly make bespoke trousers and waistcoats. If there is something else you would like made please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss.

How it works

The process begins with a consultation that you can book by emailing me at portiarosetailoring@gmail.com or using the contact form.

You will come for an appointment at my studio in Tooting Bec, where I will take your measurements and discuss design choices and fabrics. At this stage, we will finalise costs and I will take a 50% deposit.

Once this appointment is complete I will create your pattern and then make a toile (this is a test run of your garment made up in a cheap fabric purely to check the fit).

We will arrange for you to come in for your first fitting, where you will try on your toile and I will make the necessary adjustments. I will then make up your piece in the final fabric and will get you in for your second fitting. This will just be to check everything is ok and any final tweaks can be made. I will then finish the garment and will decide with you whether you would like to collect it or whether you would like it posted to your home.

Generally, the bespoke process takes 2 fittings and a final check, however, occasionally more fittings are required.

Bespoke items require a 50% deposit after the first consultation if you decide to go ahead with the process. The other 50% will be taken upon completion.
